GrowGen Refund and Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: June 28, 2026

Last Updated: June 28, 2026

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains how subscription cancellations, refunds, billing periods, and purchased AI credits are handled when you use GrowGen.

This Policy supplements the GrowGen Terms of Service. If there is a conflict concerning refunds or subscription cancellations, this Refund and Cancellation Policy will apply unless applicable law requires otherwise.

1. Subscription Billing and Automatic Renewal

GrowGen offers recurring subscription plans that may be billed monthly, annually, or at another interval displayed during checkout.

By purchasing a paid subscription, you authorize GrowGen and its payment processor, Stripe, to charge your selected payment method:

  • At the beginning of your paid subscription;
  • At the end of any applicable free-trial period; and
  • On each recurring renewal date until you cancel.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the price and billing frequency shown at checkout unless they are canceled before the next renewal date.

You are responsible for canceling your subscription before the renewal charge is processed if you do not want it to renew.

2. Free Trials

When GrowGen offers a free trial, the length of the trial and the date on which billing will begin will be displayed during signup or checkout.

Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your selected payment method will automatically be charged for the subscription plan you selected.

Canceling during a free trial prevents the subscription from converting into a paid subscription. Access to paid features may end immediately or at the conclusion of the trial, as indicated within your account.

GrowGen does not provide refunds for subscription charges resulting from a customer's failure to cancel before a clearly disclosed trial expiration date, except where required by law or where a verified billing error occurred.

3. How to Cancel a Subscription

Customers may cancel a subscription through the GrowGen account dashboard:

Dashboard → Account Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription → Cancel Subscription

The cancellation process may redirect you to GrowGen's secure Stripe Customer Portal.

You may also request billing assistance by emailing support@growgen.app. Include the email address associated with your GrowGen account. Do not include your full card number or other sensitive payment information.

An email to billing support does not guarantee cancellation before the next charge unless GrowGen receives and processes the request before the applicable renewal date. The in-app billing portal is the recommended cancellation method.

Deleting the GrowGen app, closing a browser window, discontinuing use of the service, or removing GrowGen from a device does not automatically cancel a paid subscription.

4. When Cancellation Takes Effect

Unless otherwise stated during the cancellation process, subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current paid billing period.

After canceling:

  • You will not be charged for another renewal period.
  • You may continue using the paid features included in your plan until the end of the billing period for which you have already paid.
  • At the end of that period, your account may be downgraded to the GrowGen Free Plan.
  • Features, usage limits, and monthly AI credits will then be governed by the Free Plan.

GrowGen may immediately suspend or terminate access in cases involving fraud, payment disputes, abuse, security threats, or violations of the Terms of Service.

5. No Prorated Refunds or Credits

GrowGen does not prorate subscription charges.

Canceling or downgrading a subscription before the end of a billing period does not entitle the customer to:

  • A refund for unused days;
  • A refund for a partial month or partial annual term;
  • A credit for unused subscription time;
  • Cash reimbursement for unused monthly AI credits; or
  • A retroactive price adjustment.

Your paid access ordinarily continues until the end of the current billing period.

6. Subscription Refund Policy

Subscription payments are generally non-refundable once processed.

GrowGen does not ordinarily issue refunds because a customer:

  • Forgot to cancel before a renewal date;
  • Did not use the service;
  • Used only part of the subscription period;
  • No longer needs the service;
  • Changed their mind after payment;
  • Failed to use available AI credits; or
  • Did not cancel before the end of a disclosed free trial.

GrowGen may review a refund request when it involves:

  • A duplicate charge;
  • An incorrect charge caused by a verified billing error;
  • An unauthorized transaction reported promptly;
  • A material technical problem caused by GrowGen that prevented access to the paid service and could not reasonably be corrected; or
  • A refund required by applicable law.

Refund requests should be submitted to support@growgen.app within seven days of the charge whenever reasonably possible.

Submitting a request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved. Each eligible request will be reviewed based on the payment record, account activity, technical records, and applicable law.

7. One-Time Credit Pack Purchases

One-time AI credit packs are separate from recurring subscription fees.

Credit-pack purchases are generally final and non-refundable once payment has been completed. No refund will ordinarily be provided for:

  • Unused credits;
  • Partially used credit packs;
  • Accidental use of credits;
  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated output;
  • A change in the customer's business needs; or
  • Cancellation or downgrade of a subscription.

GrowGen may review refund requests involving duplicate purchases, incorrect charges, unauthorized transactions, or verified billing errors.

AI-generated results can vary, and purchasing credits does not guarantee a particular business, marketing, engagement, or revenue outcome.

8. Credits After Subscription Cancellation

GrowGen distinguishes between subscription credits and separately purchased credit-pack credits.

Subscription-Included Credits

Credits included as part of a paid subscription:

  • Remain available only according to the subscription's applicable billing and credit-reset rules;
  • Do not have a cash value;
  • Are not refundable;
  • Are not transferable to another user; and
  • May expire or be removed when the paid billing period ends.

Unused subscription-included credits do not roll over unless GrowGen expressly states otherwise on the applicable plan or pricing page.

Purchased Credit-Pack Credits

Credits purchased separately through a one-time credit pack:

  • Are not automatically removed solely because the customer cancels a subscription;
  • Will remain associated with the customer's GrowGen account;
  • May be used while the account remains active and eligible to access the applicable generation features; and
  • Remain subject to any expiration date or usage restrictions clearly disclosed at the time of purchase.

If the customer voluntarily deletes the GrowGen account, any remaining credits associated with that account may be permanently forfeited and cannot be recovered, transferred, or exchanged for cash.

9. Plan Downgrades

When a customer downgrades to a lower-priced plan, the downgrade will ordinarily take effect at the beginning of the next billing period.

The customer will continue to have access to the current paid plan through the end of the existing billing period. GrowGen does not provide prorated refunds for the difference between plans unless otherwise stated during the plan-change process.

When the downgrade becomes effective, the customer will be subject to the features, limits, and credit allowance of the new plan.

10. Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method whenever possible.

The time required for a refund to appear depends on the customer's bank, card issuer, payment method, and Stripe's processing time. GrowGen does not control how quickly a financial institution posts an approved refund.

Refunds are not issued as cash, check, or payment to a different card or account.

11. Failed Payments and Account Access

If a recurring payment fails, GrowGen or Stripe may retry the payment and notify the customer that updated billing information is required.

GrowGen may limit or suspend paid access until the outstanding payment is successfully completed. A failed payment does not automatically cancel a subscription unless the subscription is formally canceled or terminated.

12. Charge Disputes

Customers should contact support@growgen.app before filing a chargeback or payment dispute so that GrowGen has an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.

Filing a payment dispute may result in temporary suspension of the associated account while the transaction is reviewed. This does not limit any rights available to the customer under applicable law.

13. Changes to This Policy

GrowGen may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy to reflect changes to its products, billing practices, or legal obligations.

Material changes will apply prospectively and will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date. Changes will not retroactively reduce rights that applied to a completed transaction where prohibited by law.
