Privacy Policy for GrowGen

Welcome to GrowGen ("GrowGen," "we," "our," or "us"). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how GrowGen collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our website, application, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using GrowGen, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

Personal Information

Information you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Password or other authentication information (for email/password sign-in)
  • Google authentication information (when you sign in with Google)
  • Business or agency information you choose to provide (such as your niche and audience)
  • Profile details (such as your display name and avatar)
  • User-generated prompts and content you create, save, or store through GrowGen, including Growth Snapshot and GrowthPath responses
  • Support inquiries you submit through the Contact page

GrowGen does not collect telephone numbers. We do not send SMS messages.

Payment and Billing Information

Payments for GrowGen subscriptions and credit packs are processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. GrowGen does not store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes (CVC/CVV). Stripe collects and processes your payment details in accordance with its own privacy policy.

GrowGen receives and stores limited billing and transaction information necessary to administer purchases and subscriptions, including:

  • Stripe customer ID
  • Stripe subscription ID
  • Stripe checkout session and payment intent IDs
  • Stripe price and product identifiers
  • Subscription status and plan
  • Billing-cycle start and end dates
  • Cancellation status
  • Purchase amount and currency
  • Credit-pack purchase details (credits granted, amount, status)
  • Refund status

GrowGen does not receive or store your card number, card security code, billing address, card brand, or the last four digits of your payment method. To view or update card details, manage invoices, or request a billing receipt, use the Stripe-hosted customer portal available from your GrowGen Settings page.

Usage Information

We may automatically collect information such as:

  • Device type
  • Browser type
  • IP address
  • Operating system
  • Pages visited
  • Time spent within the app
  • User interactions and activity

AI Input Data

GrowGen collects the prompts, text inputs, content requests, marketing details, and similar information you submit so it can generate AI-powered content, recommendations, and reviews. Your prompts and the resulting AI outputs are stored against your account so you can revisit them in your Library, Generation History, Calendar, GrowthPath, and Accountability Check-ins.

How AI requests are processed. GrowGen sends your prompts and the context required to fulfill them (such as your niche and audience) to third-party AI model providers through the Lovable AI Gateway, which routes requests to the underlying model on our behalf. The current default text model is Google Gemini (gemini-3-flash-preview), accessed through the Lovable AI Gateway. The model and provider may change over time as we improve the Services.

GrowGen does not train a proprietary AI model. We do not operate our own model-training pipeline, and we do not use your prompts or generated content to train, fine-tune, or otherwise improve a GrowGen-owned model. Whether the upstream AI provider may use prompts to improve their own models is governed by that provider's terms; we work with providers that offer commercially-reasonable controls on such use.

Do not submit sensitive traveler information. AI prompts in GrowGen are intended for marketing and content-generation use only. Do not paste identifying or sensitive traveler information into prompts, including names, contact information, passport or government-ID numbers, payment information, medical information, passwords, or booking-confirmation numbers. If you do, it may be transmitted to and processed by the third-party AI provider, stored against your account, and included in exports.

2. How We Use Your Information

We may use collected information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Provide GrowGen features and services
  • Generate AI-powered content and lead recommendations
  • Process payments and subscriptions
  • Improve app performance and user experience
  • Send updates, support communications, and promotional messages
  • Detect fraud, abuse, or security risks
  • Comply with legal obligations

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with trusted third parties, including:

Service Providers

GrowGen relies on the following categories of service providers to operate the Services:

  • Stripe — payment processing, subscription billing, and the hosted billing portal
  • Lovable Cloud — authentication, database, and application backend
  • Google — Google sign-in (when you choose to authenticate with Google)
  • Cloud hosting and application infrastructure providers
  • AI model providers used to generate content, recommendations, and other AI-powered outputs
  • Transactional email provider used to send account, billing, and support emails
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — bot-protection on account, login, and contact forms

We share with each provider only the information needed to perform its function, and they are bound by contractual obligations and their own privacy practices.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to:

  • Comply with applicable law
  • Respond to legal requests
  • Protect our rights and security
  • Prevent fraud or misuse

Business Transfers

If GrowGen is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Storage and Security

We implement commercially reasonable security measures designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

GrowGen may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Remember user preferences
  • Improve functionality
  • Analyze performance
  • Personalize experiences
  • Measure marketing effectiveness

You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies; however, some features of the Services may not function properly.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Withdraw consent
  • Request a copy of your data

To submit a privacy or data request, contact support@growgen.app or use the GrowGen Contact page and select "Privacy or Data Request." Certain transaction, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, or legal-compliance records may be retained when required by law.

6A. GDPR Compliance (For Users in the European Union)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with similar privacy laws, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information.

These rights may include:

  • The right to access the personal information we hold about you
  • The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • The right to request deletion of your information
  • The right to restrict or object to certain processing activities
  • The right to data portability
  • The right to withdraw consent at any time when processing is based on consent
  • The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

GrowGen processes personal data only where we have a lawful basis to do so, including:

  • Performance of a contract
  • Compliance with legal obligations
  • Legitimate business interests that do not override your privacy rights

6B. CCPA Privacy Rights (California Residents)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents may have additional privacy rights.

GrowGen does not sell personal information. If this practice changes in the future, users will be provided with the ability to opt out as required by law.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights under California law.

6C. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Disclosure

GrowGen uses artificial intelligence technologies to generate content, recommendations, marketing materials, lead suggestions, and other outputs.

While we strive to provide useful and relevant results, users acknowledge and understand that:

  • AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccuracies, errors, incomplete information, or outdated information
  • AI-generated outputs should not be relied upon as legal, financial, medical, or professional advice
  • Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying generated content before publishing, sharing, or relying upon it
  • GrowGen does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content for any specific purpose

By using GrowGen's AI-powered features, you understand and accept that generated content is provided on an "as is" basis.

7. Children's Privacy

GrowGen is intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a person under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. If you believe that a person under 18 has provided personal information to GrowGen, please contact us at support@growgen.app.

8. Third-Party Services

GrowGen may contain links or integrations with third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties.

Users should review the privacy policies of those services separately.

9. International Users

If you access GrowGen from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

By using GrowGen, you consent to such transfers.

9A. Data Retention, Download, and Account Deletion

Active accounts. While your account is active, your profile, prompts, generated content, library items, calendar items, uploaded settings, GrowthPath plans, and Accountability Check-ins are retained so that the Services function as expected. You can delete individual items from inside the app at any time.

Download your data. From Settings → Danger zone you can download a JSON copy of your profile, generations, library, plans, calendar, accountability data, and billing summary at any time.

Account deletion — 30-day scheduled deletion. You can request scheduled deletion from Settings → Danger zone. When you do:

  • Your account is marked as pending deletion and future subscription renewals are stopped.
  • Any active Stripe subscription is set to cancel at the end of the current billing period; you keep access through the paid period.
  • Permanent deletion is scheduled for the later of (i) thirty (30) days from your request or (ii) the end of your already-paid subscription period.
  • You can cancel the deletion request from Settings at any time before the scheduled date. Canceling does not automatically resume auto-renewal — you must re-enable it from the billing portal if you want renewals to continue.

Immediate deletion. You may instead choose to delete your account immediately. If you do, any active Stripe subscription is canceled immediately, access to GrowGen ends immediately, remaining paid subscription time is forfeited, unused monthly and purchased credits are forfeited, payments are generally non-refundable and are not prorated except where required by law, and the action cannot be undone.

What permanent deletion removes. When permanent deletion runs, GrowGen removes or anonymizes your profile, prompts, generated content, library items, calendar items, GrowthPath plans and profiles, accountability data, lead-magnet content, DM scripts, scheduled posts, and other user-owned application data, and neutralizes your sign-in credentials so the account can no longer be accessed.

What we retain after deletion. We retain limited billing, transaction, checkout-consent, refund, dispute, fraud-prevention, tax, accounting, security, and legal records (including Stripe transaction references) where reasonably necessary for accounting and compliance or where required by law. We retain a record of the deletion request itself in our security audit log.

Backups. Routine encrypted database backups created by our hosting provider may continue to contain residual copies of deleted data until those backups expire on their normal rotation schedule. Restored data is not used to repopulate live records.

Stripe remains the system of record for payment information. Records held by Stripe are subject to Stripe's own retention policies and applicable financial regulations and are not deleted by GrowGen on your behalf.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When changes occur, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of GrowGen after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
